Such a well written book. Real crimes written about in a way that describes what happened, how the cases were investigated and written in a way that’s not sensational or misleading. Having lived in Mansfield through high school and for several years beyond, it’s a little surreal reading about cases I remember as well as obscure places only locals know about. Definitely a MUST read for any true crime fan as well as any DeSoto Parish resident.

I watch ID channel all the time, the TV in my home stays on that channel. When this book came out I purchased the book because I am from the area and I wanted to read this book and learn about crimes in our area. I could not put it down. The book is very well written. As I read the book I could visualize the scenes as they played out. The Author kept my attention the whole time.

While the cases discussed were indeed evil, I feel that the book was well written and informative. I am from Sabine Parish and several questions were answered for me in this book. Thanks to you and our Law Enforcement for your dedication in keeping us safe. Thanks for writing this book!

I live in DeSoto Parish and I have heard some of the stories but not much in details. After reading the book the rest of the story. Was a great read and it completed the stories that I had heard.
Thank you Robbo for your many years of service as a Detective on the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Department.

This book was very well written and edited. The stories were described vividly. Great for knowing the history of some crimes in Desoto Parish. Criminal Justice students would love this!

A great read if you like true crime. Well written and not overly embellished. Just truth written in the first person. While the crimes were, indeed, evil, the telling of them wasn’t overly gruesome. I’m looking forward to a sequel.

I really enjoyed this book! Having family from that area who lived there at the time of some of the crimes made the stories really come to life. Well written.

I read your book to my husband on our 28 hour round trip drive to North Carolina. There would be times I would stop to “take a break” from reading. He would ask “is that the end of the chapter?” I would say “no I just need a water break!” The book carried us through all the emotions! Thank you for writing this...we, the general public need to hear and feel these emotions that law enforcement and first responders go through! We appreciate your dedication to Desoto Parish!

I like the first hand review of cases because I was familiar with several of them, but not in the detail that the book furnishes.

This author’s ability to describe characters, scenes and even the mood and feelings of victims and villains alike is uncanny. I feel like I know the victims or someone just like them and the same with their killers. “The Evil I Have Seen” was a true page turner. I hope this is the first in a series of books by Mr. Robbo! As with any good book I was sad to finish it, I want more. Really well written and fast moving. Well done!

Most people including myself do not have a clue as to the evil that occurs right under our noses, in our hometowns, our neighborhoods or just outside our front yards or driveways. The Evil I Have Seen was an eye opener to me! It has changed the way I look and listen to the local reports of crimes committed near my stomping ground and the places I frequent. It was truly an educational read, I think it will be for others as well.

True account of actual crimes that took place in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. Having worked in Law Enforcement for a total of 31 years, I was familiar with all of these cases. Robert Davidson did an exceptional job writing this book, it was hard to put the book down. Looking forward to the next one!

I grew up and lived in the area where these cases happened. Although I didn't remember all of the details Robo brought back memories and now I know the facts of the cases. Robo thank you for your years of hard grueling work. God bless you and your family.

This was the most well written book I have read in a very long time. I felt like I was brought back in time when these crimes occurred. I cannot image what goes through investigators minds during and long after crimes have been solved. Great job Robo and I hope you have plans for more!!!! Thank you for your service all those years!!!!

Just read "The Evil I Have Seen" Oh my ,what a fascinating, spell-binding read! I've known Robbo all my life as we grew up here in DeSoto Parish and went to school together. He was several years younger than me. Being from a small town I knew most of the officers, sheriff and deputies. He really did a good job remembering all the details so it would keep you interested. I recommend this to anyone that loves to read and likes solving crimes! Thanks Robbo!

This is a really good book. In-depth, fascinating look a some of the cases Davidson has worked on. Some of it chilling, some of it really sad, but all of it makes for a non-stop read. Growing up in the area where all of these cases happened, it was a look at the underbelly of life we seldom see but the author lived. Well written, easy reading, you feel like you are there.
GET THIS BOOK, you won’t be sorry!
